The Risks of Vaping
The use of electronic cigarettes is gaining popularity among smokers who rather not deal with medical consequences of regular smoking. An electric cigarette is simply an electronic device which simulates the act of smoking tobacco. It usually includes a unit like a tank or cartridge, an electric power source like a cigarette battery, and an atomizer. Rather than tobacco, the user ingests vapor instead. As such, utilizing an e-cicle is generally referred to as “smelling like tobacco.”
E-Cigarettes vary greatly to look at and function. Some look like traditional cigarettes while some have looks and designs which mimic the appearance of a lighter. In addition, some models include a heating element that provides an authentic puff like experience. Some devices require the smoker to “paint” the atomizer. The unit, which closely resemble electronic Cigarettes (ECGs), are marketed for individuals who want to imitate the physical act of smoking minus the harmful ingredients found in tobacco.
The most common approach to delivery for these e-juices is by either dripping or puffing. Many smokers find this method to be unsatisfactory, causing many to turn to vapor gum. Although chewing is less harmful to the lungs than spraying or puffing, there is no mistaking the taste of vapor for that of traditional cigarettes. Also, because the harmful chemical compounds and toxins absorbed by the lungs during inhalation should never be absorbed into the vapor, this method is considered to be very ineffective.
A newer type of E-Cigarette produces a liquid solution which is injected in to the lungs. Although this technology continues to be new, many manufactures are incorporating this to their devices. Instead of liquid dripping in to the air like traditional cigarettes, users are instructed to breathe in through the heating element. The heated heating element then delivers the liquid in to the lungs. The only drawback to this sort of delivery is that it requires longer to heat up than traditional methods, thus increasing the amount of time that the user must ingest the liquid before inhaling it.
Vaporizing will come in two basic varieties: dry and wet vapes. Dry e-juice is used exactly the same way that hard candy is. A dropper or pen is used to inject the e-juice in to the mouth. Once the liquid is in the lungs, it should be exhaled before it could be inhaled. A wet vapor is taken in the same fashion as other liquids. In this instance, a mouthpiece is inserted into the mouth to soak up the liquid.
Like most electronic cigarettes, e-liquid will come in a range of flavors. However, most users have their favorites depending on their personal preferences. Some prefer a simple syrup-like flavor, while others choose the rich flavor of menthol or chocolate e-juice. Nicotine gum can be available to supplement the nicotine intake in that users can chew the gum and ingest the liquid as it is there.
Most electronic cigarettes contain nicotine, propylene glycol, and other chemicals. Some brands use herbal extracts to make a mint flavor, but the most electronic cigarettes utilize Vape Pens the nicotine solution that is pressed into the tank. When the liquid is inhaled by the smoker, it contains nicotine and propylene glycol, along with other chemicals that provide the smokers with a satisfyingly soothing feeling. Inhaling tobacco smoke produces a pungent, bitter taste in the throat. Many smokers discover that it difficult to quit as the flavor of the smoke has a profound effect on their sense of taste, and the bitter taste of nicotine can cause addiction.
Nicotine in the smokes has been shown to cause changes in the mind, including cell growth and protein formation in the brain. Nicotine has been proven to possess damaging effects on the human brain. While it is known that all tobacco products are bad for the smoker’s overall health, these detrimental effects are specially true when using electronic cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes may be a better choice for those who wish to stop smoking.
